Club Blitz Handicap Tournament

Prior to the start of the new chess season in September, all intending members of the Club are warmly invited to play in an all-play-all Blitz Handicap Tournament at the Club on Wednesday 27th August 2025.
No advance booking necessary. Simply turn up on the night by 7.15 pm for a prompt start at 7.30 pm. To avoid a potentially late evening, the Tournament will end by 10 pm at the latest, the winner being the person with the most points at that time.
Entry fee £1 and winner takes all.
At the event , players will also be able to take (free of charge) any books of their choosing from amongst those formerly belonging to Mike Spalding and which have been kindly donated by his widow Mary. First come, first served.
